Athletics
In addition to the regular physical education periods required by state law, Providence Heights Alpha School has programs in basketball, soccer, cross country (fall) and volleyball (fall). Students who participate in these programs are required to maintain acceptable academic levels. Proper behavior by students, coaches, and parents is expected at all times. Behavior which does not meet Alpha's standards will be dealt with by the administrator. All of the programs are to be viewed as part of the school curriculum. Students participating in the athletic programs are charged a fee.
The mission of the Alpha Athletic Association is to provide and monitor a set of standards by which coaches, parents, athletes and students work together in an athletic program that incorporates: Safety, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Fair Play that are guided by Christian values. The Association recognizes that the Principal and the members of the Board of Directors of Providence Heights Alpha School have authority and responsibility for Alpha and its programs. As such, the Association shall function upon the consent of the Principal.
