Alpha’s Wellness Committee
Helps Students REACH Fitness Goals
The goal of Alpha’s Wellness Committee is to excite and inspire
both students and parents alike to keep fit and healthy. Alpha’s
R.E.A.C.H. Program – “Realizing Eating and Activity Change
Health” is designed to expand physical activity for students
beyond PE classes, to integrate it throughout the Alpha
curriculum and after school, to encourage good nutrition habits,
and to encourage healthy lifestyles through special events and
publications. National and diocesan nutrition and physical
activity guidelines are also monitored for relevance to the
Alpha school environment. Members of the 2007-08 Wellness
Committee are: Sr. Rochelle Holly, Mr. Bill Hubbs, Siao Mei
Shick-Co Chair, Janice Wasson-Co Chair, Mary Boyle-Arnn,
Bernadette Burgess, Halina Luckiewicz, Cristina Matisz, Susan
McElroy, Dina Muth, Stephanie Schenk-Jacobs, Sarita Subvamaniam,
and Jewel Whiting.
