Dear Alpha families,
Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has extended the school closure state-wide for an additional two weeks. Therefore, Providence Heights Alpha School will remain closed through April 13, 2020, and physical classes will tentatively resume on Tuesday, April 14. During this time, all school activities will continue to be postponed. We understand that life in our community and the world is currently shifting in profound ways in response to the progression of this global pandemic and that we cannot predict how the situation will continue to evolve. However, we will continue to monitor the situation over the coming weeks and will keep you informed of any changes.
Although our physical buildings will be closed, our focus is to continue to provide high quality education for all of our students through our remote learning plan. As with all new experiences, there is a learning curve, but with each day we will continue to improve, adjust, and adapt as we settle into new routines and structures. Thank you to all of our students and families for your willingness to embrace this new form of learning and for your patience and understanding along the way.
With the best interests of our students in mind, we have decided to shorten our Spring Break and provide remote learning Monday, April 6 through Wednesday, April 8. Easter break will now occur from Holy Thursday, April 9 through Easter Monday, April 13 so there will be no school on those days.
Thank you for your continued support as we strive to maintain a healthy and safe environment for our students, staff, and Alpha community members.
Let us pray for the health and safety of our community and to remain faithful in this time of global crisis.
