There are several ways to ensure that Alpha continues to develop servant leaders and innovative thinkers.

 

Gift Card Program

Our gift card program, RaiseRight, allows you to purchase gift cards at more than 750 retailers. Alpha will receive a rebate for each gift card you purchase, and we’ll split the earnings with you in the form of a cash rebate or tuition credit! 

 

There are two ways to participate in the RaiseRight Program:

 

Online

  1. Register online by going to https://www.raiseright.com

  2. Click the Start a New Program program.

  3. Click Join a Program under the “Join an existing program” box, and enter Alpha's enrollment code.

  4. Complete the required information and click Register.

 

Cell Phone App                

  1. Download the RaiseRight app through Apple or Google. 

  2. Enter Alpha's enrollment code.

  3. Click the Get Started button.

  4. Complete the required fields.

  5. Link your account and you’re ready to purchase both physical and e-gift cards from your phone.

           

Box Tops for Education App

If you’re buying certain products anyway, why not help Alpha by submitting your box tops completely on a phone app? Each box top is worth 10 cents for the school. 

 

  1. Download the Box Tops for Education app through Apple or Google.

  2. Click the Find a School button.

  3. Type Providence Heights Alpha School.

  4. Click the Select School button

  5. Complete the information fields.

  6. Click the Let’s Go button and you’re set!

United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania

Through United Way’s network, thousands of nonprofit organizations benefit through donor designations to specific agencies. 

 

To register, go to www.uwswpa.org/contact. Enter our school code: 3842.
 

Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program 

This program allows businesses to support education in our state. Qualifying businesses may make donations to the Alpha Fund and receive a tax credit. Your business is eligible to participate if it pays one of these PA taxes: corporate net income tax, capital stock franchise tax, bank and trust company shares tax, title insurance companies shares tax, insurance premiums tax, mutual thrift institutions tax, mutual thrift institutions tax, or personal income tax of S Corp shareholders and partners in a general or limited partnership. 

 

To participate in the program, go to https://dced.pa.gov/programs/educational-improvement-tax-credit-program-eitc/EITC application and guidelines Complete the single-page form, and submit it electronically.

We greatly appreciate and welcome monetary gifts to our school. Simply click on the yellow Donate button at the bottom of the page. We thank you in advance for your support!!!!

Volunteering at Alpha

We always love to see parents/guardians  in our school (and your kids love seeing you, too)!  There are many volunteer opportunities at Alpha:

 

  • Swim class—walk students to and from the pool, assist in the locker room (as needed)

  • Library—help the librarian organize books, assist with Library classes

  • Eagle’s Nest—serve as the cashier on designated days, sort and organize clothing

  • Lunch—assist students who need help opening drink packs, cracker packages, etc. 

  • Sporting events—sell treats at the concession stand, keep score for games, serve as the timekeeper for basketball games, coach games or assist a coach, help at cross country meets

  • Homeroom parent—work with the teacher to coordinate special class activities

  • Class parties—assist homeroom parents with planning, setup  and staging parties

  • Alpha Gala, Night at the Races, and Casino Night—help our Alpha Parent Teacher Association (APTA) with planning, organizing, and running these major events


In addition, if you have a special talent that you wish to share, or if your business is willing to donate services, please let us know!

You’re invited to participate in a wide array of Alpha events and activities. Our school hosts the following events, among others:

  • Catholic Schools Week

  • Book Fair

  • Dine to Donate

 

Our Alpha Parent Teacher Association (APTA) hosts first-class events. These events are not only a lot of fun, but they raise money for our school.

  • Outdoor Movie Night

  • Spaghetti Dinner
