Alpha Student in Beverlys Birthdays Bake Off!

Alpha sixth grader, Sara Yakim, put her talents and taste buds to good use in the name of a great cause last Sunday. She was invited to compete in the Great Bake Off, organized by Beverlys Birthdays, a Pittsburgh nonprofit organization, which provides birthday cheer for children experiencing homelessness and families in-need. Sara didn't walk away with the trophy but she did earn our respect as a student using the tools she has available to make the lives of others better and brighter. Beverlys believes every child deserves a birthday and Sara did her part to achieve their goal.
