KDKA-TV Meteorologist Brings Sunny Forecast to Alpha

KDKA-TV Meteorologist Mary Ours recently visited our school and brought beautiful weather with her. Mary shared her knowledge of clouds, meteorological terms, and storm systems with both elementary and middle school students in two separate presentations. She also allowed the students to pass around a mini "tornado in a bottle" and answered questions about weather and her job.

Students wore weather-themed headbands, and presented her with posters, cards, and a delicious cake. KDKA-TV covered the event, and our students appeared on the afternoon and evening newscasts. We thank Mary Ours for taking the time to make such excellent and entertaining presentations at our school!
