Summer Music Lessons
with Mr. Dugan
Lessons Begin July 1
Playing Guitar or Recorder, Beg-Int
Students will learn the fundamentals of guitar or recorder, some basic music theory, and will practice and play songs and pieces appropriate for their specific skill level. Students with prior playing knowledge will continue to build on what they know, with mastery goals set by both the student and instructor.
Four (4) lessons may be purchased at a price of $80, the same price per lessons rate ($20 per lesson) as during the school year. Those four lessons can be redeemed on ANY of the following times and days of the week. There is no limit on the number of packages you can purchase; once four are used up, four more can be purchased to be used in the same manner.
* Lessons will be held at Providence Heights Alpha School, main building, Tuesday through Friday, any time between 10AM and 5PM.
The summer music lesson season begins July 1st!
Musical Composition / Song-Writing, Beg-Int
Students will learn about the musical elements and concepts that coalesce to make the musical works with which they are familiar, i.e. pop music, classical, and how they can organize those elements and concepts in order to create unique musical works of their very own. This subject will be taught mainly using Mac computer programs, i.e. GarageBand and Logic X Pro, but will also incorporate non-digital musical experiences that are essential to the art of composition.
Music Production, Int- Adv
Students will learn how to take a raw, but mostly complete song/piece, and make it “radio” ready. This subject is for students who wish to become self-sufficient as artists in the future. Students that already have original music written may find this particular subject most exciting, as well as beneficial and informative. This subject will also be taught using mainly Mac computers.
