Alpha Teacher and Students Win Awards from the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh

Congratulations to Middle School Science Teacher, Mrs Linda Cessar, and 7th grade students Gina Palladino and Sofia Mancing!

The Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh presented Mr Cessar with the 2018 Teacher's Award for her mentorship of grade 7-8 students in the PJAS Region 7 competition in chemistry and related fields.

Sofia and Gina were both awarded the SACP PJAS student award as they tied for the highest score in chemistry in grade 7.

All 3 scientists attended a dinner and ceremony at Duquesne University.
